What We Believe

We are Christians. With Christians around the world, we believe in the Triune God - Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We believe that God's Son, Jesus Christ, died on the cross for our sins and rose in victory over sin, evil, and death to give us eternal life.

We are Protestants. We trace our roots back to the Reformation. We believe in the sovereignty of God, the authority of Scripture, and that we are saved by faith in Jesus Christ. We believe that God calls us to live in caring relationships with one another, to enjoy and care for creation, and to seek justice in the world.

We are Presbyterians. Our denomination's name comes from the Greek word presbuteros, which means "elder." Elders are specially commissioned non-clergy men and women who take part in decision-making. Local congregations are governed by presbyteries made up of elders from each congregation.

Our congregation is part of the largest Presbyterian denomination in the United States, the Presbyterian Church (USA).
